This page describes how to create a restore point in windows XP. System Restore is used to restore all your windows setting to a previous working state. You might be thinking how system restore works. Ok, it takes a snapshot of critical system files and some program files and stores this information as restore points. Thus we can use these restore points to return Windows XP to a previous state.
Ok, than lets see how a restore point is created in windows XP.
1)Start -->> All Programs -->> Accessories -->> System Tools -->> System Restore.
2) You will get a welcome page like this:
3) Select create a restore point and Click next.
4) On the Create a Restore Point page, enter a descriptive name for your restore point, Here I am giving name as techhunt_tut. You can give any name. And click create.
5) Your restore point is create. You will get a screen like this.
