How To change default Location Of My Documents Folder
Our "My Documents: is important folder, and we may store some important files in this folder. But formating and reinstalling windows will delete all content of this folder. So, we should change the default location of "My Documents". Here is how we can change the default location of "My Document" folder.
1) Before we start, first create the folder where you want to move "My Documents". Like say I want to move to D:\doc
2) start -->> right click my documents -->> Properties
3) Click Target tab -->> type the new location like D:\doc
4) Close all windows and application .
5) Type the new location of My documents folder. Here I want to move to D:\doc -->> Click Apply
6) You will get a conformation page -->> click Ok
7) Trasfer of files will start. Again care to close all windows and application before moving files.
6) Ok -->> Done !!!
How To restore My Document folder to its default location.
It is similar process is mentioned above.
1) start -->> right click my documents -->> Properties
2) close all windows and applictions.
2) Click Target tab -->> Restore Default -->> Apply
3) File transfer will start, and "My Documents" folder will be restored to its default location.
