Desktop And Interface

Windows XP look is little different from earlier windows version.Lets look at desktop.When you start your computer, the first thing you see is the desktop. Below image shows a modified windows XP desktop

Lets start with start menu.Below image shoes start menu of my desktop.Start Menu is customizable, so we can; change the icons or the way it looks. On the left hand side, you see icons for the Internet and E-mail client (outlook express in my case) and a list of the most recently used applications, then the "All Programs" menu, which used to be your all Programs menu.

On the right hand side, you see the icons to make user interface easy.We can change the icons appering here, which we will discuss later.

The recently opened applications list is built by Windows itself to be your most commonly access applications.Thus it help in quick access.If you want to remove any icon from left hand side, simple right click on that icon and select "remove from this list"
